Hi

Bought a mac book pro last week with a new external hard disk for backup. This was formatted using FAT32 and worked fine on the Mac and on my PC.

Problems started when I tried to copy some large video files as FAT32 doesn't support files larger than 4Gb.

I was now going to format the external disk using NTFS file system as this does support larger files.

My question is does Leopard support NTFS? If not what file system should I use?

Thanks

Leopard (or pretty much any OSX version) supports Reading NTFS out of the box. It's writing that is not supported. There is a new driver that has been discussed here on Mac Forums that gives OSX full Write ability with NTFS also. Do a search for NTFS and it should come up. Think it's called Paragon.

Found it for you.
