Hi there

first post here. and probably a daft one

I am just moving from a G5 to a MacPro.
After fitting my old internal drive of the G5 in one of the drive of the MacPro, I do not seem to see or to get to any of the files which were saved on the desktop.

Is there any way to get to them without rebooting the old machine??

Location
Closer than you think.
Your Mac's Specs
Performa 6116 2GBSCSI 8MB OS 7.5.3
Change the rights of the Desktop directory of your old user

/Volumes/Macintosh HD (I assume)/username of old G5/Desktop

Ideally you would have used the Migration Assistant (still can) to move user data from the G5.
