I'm told the GeForce 7300 GT video card that's standard on Mac Pros have two DVI ports; a single-link DVI port that can support up to a 23" Apple Cinema Dispaly and a dual-link DVI port that can support up to a 30" ACD.

Does anyone know if they both can support a 24" monitor with a 1680x1050 resolution? For instance a ViewSonic or Dell 24" widescreen?

The best I can get out of Apple sales is "well, it should..."

TIA

My iMac runs a 24" screen at 1920 X 1200 with a ATI HD 2600 pro 256MB so I would assume that you will be able to run that.

My White iMac 24 has this video card and I have the 24" and a side 22" widescreen hooked up with DVI. No issues.

My just retired G4867 had a ATI 9600 and I was running a 22" Viewsonic and 17" from the same card both connected by DVI. You should be fine.
