Hi there.

Is this a good deal on a brand new macbook pro. It is the bottom of the line macbook pro with 120 GB hard drive, 2.2 Ghz intel core 2 duo, and nvidia 8600 126 mb. For $1725 out the door

Sorry to bump but I need to make the purchase soon. Any suggestions? Are there better prices out there?

Sounds good. Suspiciously good. If it's on Ebay or something, beware.

I would consider that and upside personally.

Yeah, the upside is the matte screen for me.
The downside is that its on ebay.
Run away, far away from buying "new" things on ebay. You might be okay for a deal here and there, but the majority of those auctions are scams or utter crap.

Why is that? Is it really that bad up there

Ive had pretty good experience with eBay. Plus it is covered under PayPal protection, which is always a good thing. And seller agrees to pay shipping cost and refund money if it is defective. What do you guys think, take it?

Yea, i understand why a lot of people are concerned about it. I have also been conned through PayPal, but they have protection from fraud. I got all my money back. =)
