Doesn't the dual 1.8 come with Firewire ports already? If so, why not just buy an external Firewire hub? I have done this very thing and it works great - it will probably cost you less money too, and it definitely be less of a hassle.

Assume you are having Firewire problems, as many G5's seem to do, looking for a card?
