I just set up gmail with Mail.app and everything looks good except I am not sure which mailbox to use to see the full effect of IMAP (delete/view a message in mail.app and it will update accordingly on gmail). I have a picture attached with my mailboxes.
The two boxes in question are Inbox and [Gmail] which I assume represents my gmail inbox.
So if I read a message in my "Inbox" in Mail.app, does it show as read in gmail, or do I have to use the greyed [Gmail] to see results?
If it is ok to use "Inbox" and still see IMAP effects, may I delete [Gmail] and still be ok w/ IMAP?
