I just got a MacBook and i have a iMac with airport and every time i turn my Book on i pick up networks. I thought is it possible to send the internet to my MacBook using AirPort?

The iMac has a external modem.

If I understand you correctly,..

Your iMac gets its internet from a wired connection, which in turn you'd like to share that connection over its built in airport card.

This is possible and can be achieved in the sharing preference pane.

Perhaps I guessed wrong.

How do you get internet now on the iMac?

If it's broadband then you can then use the internet sharing option in system preferences>sharing to share the broadband ethernet connect through the airport of the iMac to the Macbook. You will need to configure the wireless network in the internet sharing section. Then set the macbook up to join the newly created wireless network.

Both computers will be online assuming that you are using the broadband connection.
