On Tiger, when I opened up front row it would play some of the movie as I browsed through my video files.

But on leopard, it just shows a still picture - is there any way to get it so that it will play a preview video again?

side notes:

  • I've checked that the video file opens and plays in quicktime
  • I've installed perian and removed all other codecs that was previously in the quicktime folder
  • In the Info of the file, I can actually view the preview of the movie file, which makes it even more odd that it doesn't work in front row

Yep. Front row in Leopard does not preview video. I'm actually pleased with this decision cause it always had performance issues with previewing some file types. But I imagine some would appreciate the video preview....

Awh, that's a shame. I always thought it looked so cool.
