OS X 10.3 won't boot

I'm run 10.3 on my i mac g5.after i installed another 512 mb ram it will not boot. I get a flashing ? . Tried the fixes in my manual. no luck.can't boot from my install disc. tried to reinstall, gets to finish on disc 1 and says, error,please restart. Any help you can give me?

Take out the new RAM module(s) and try again. If it boots, then the problem is the new RAM, or at least the combination of modules that you have. Usually, it's best to stick to the same make/model of RAM modules rather than mixing/matching. They simply don't work a lot of the time with each other.

go from your install disk, when it gets to the install select Utilities from the top menu and run disk Utility from there

see how that goes
