I did most of my shopping last night, online.
From CircuitCity.com I got a Sharp Aquios LC46D64U 46" 1080p HDTV for $1299. I will pick it up tomorrow after 12noon.
From MacMall.com my wife got a Macbook for $974 and I got an 8GB iPod Touch for $269 (no sales tax).
From Frys.com I got a Samsung 19" LCD HDTV for $199.
Tomorrow I'm finally going to buy a PS3 at Fry's. They are giving away 5 BlueRay disks with it. Then you can order an additional 5 from Sony for free. They are also throwing in the PS3 remote control (worth about $15)
If you guys are planning to go to BestBuy, CompUSA, or CircuitCity, you need to make sure the items you want are still in stock. These and other sites started their online sales last night and offered in store pickup on the items. So if you were thinking of getting that Aquios I mentioned, forget it. They are already sold out nationwide.
Just go to the store website and check to see if the product is available for in store pickup. It if is, then you're ok.
BTW, some items were not made available online. For example, at CircuitCity they are offering a Toshiba laptop for $299. This laptop was not made available at the online sale, so the stores will still have them. Best Buy has a Sony Viao for $399 (minimum 15 in stock at each store) that too was not available for the online sale.
Don't go stand in line if it wastes your time. Otherwise, good luck and be safe..
