Could someone tell me the point of the ExpressCard slot if no one is going to develop products for it (apart from Smelkin Belkin)?
I work in audio, so I'd like to get a SATA-slot for my Mac Book Pro so I can attach a superfast drive to stream samples. Firewire 800 is another option. But the apple site offers a couple of 5-in-1 card readers while the only other option I've seen around has been a Belkin Firewire 800 card and I've had bad experiences with Belkin.
Is that the only choice out there for fellow Mac users such as ourselves? What about soundcards that use the expresscard slot? Video cards? Wireless cards?
Are these available and I'm just being blind? I hope so.
