MIDI trouble..can't connect MIDI to Mac

Hi guys...I have a PowerMac g5 and trying to set up a Fatar SL-161 keyboard via a Midiman Uno USB. Does anyone know why the Midi "in" and "out" is not operating? I installed a driver from the M-audio website for the Mac OS-X 10.4.5. Only the light for the USB is on. Is there some option I must set in system pref?

Please help! Sorry, I'm a bit of a Mac newbie, but will appreciate any assistance! Thanks!
