While searching on eBay for a good price, i notice that there are many people, maybe not Macusers. Who have striped all sorts of would be healthy working Mac systems and PowerBooks and selling them on eBay as parts... like Why?

can one make more money doing this? Or have they dropped their systems from great height too? I feel sick...

Maybe they are parts from PowerBooks that haven't survived such tragedies as mine has gone through...

it depends really.

if the computer is just out dated, but in great shape, you can get more money for the parts.

if its practically never used you can get like $50 for an ibook keyboard, $50 for an airport, $40 for a latch, it adds up...there are sites that sell parts...if you put them together to make an entire machine, it cost more than what you would get for it all together.

i just sold my ibook 600mhz which had a broken latch and a dying hard drive...but the thing wasnt even on ebay for 2 days before someone used buy-it-now and bought it for $500 lol.. i think i got a decent price out of it...

but mine has been used to the point where the parts wouldnt add up to a $500 computer

With old technology, i always kicked it and it works. Since the mailman failed to fix the problem maybe this will help. Or you can just drop it outta the window... or a few flights of stairs.

*hands 'em a hammer*

Swing it! :D
