I have a MBP C2D that came with 2x1GB 200-pin DIMM 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM. I recently upgraded to 4.0GB and I was wondering if I could put my old RAM in a 1.5GHz G4 PowerBook Aluminum. It seems like it would work, but I don't want to try it and then ruin my PowerBook or RAM.

I wouldn't take the risk as your PPC PB Al, runs different RAM to your Intel MBP C2D. IIRC, your model PB Al runs DDR RAM which is not the same as DDR2.

One of the next models up, the 1.67 GHz 15" Double-Layer SD takes DDR2 RAM but not yours unfortunately.

No you can't but it will make a nice upgrade to someone's macbook or mac mini who is currently running 0.5Gb or 1Gb. Stick it in the for sale section or ebay

Thanks Spawn Dooley and cowasaki. I've decided to give the RAM to my brother who has a MacBook.
