Has anyone had this problem? This is the first time I have encountered
this. My computer will be booting up, and right when it is about to go
into the Windows XP loading screen, there will be a brief flicker of a
blue screen (like a fraction of a second), but then the computer will
automatically restart itself and begin the process again. It gives me
the option to start the computer normally, start with the last known
good configuration, or start up in safe mode (with/ without
networking), it doesn't matter which option I choose, the outcome is
always the same -- it reboots itself.

Thankx

That,...believe it or not, is a windows feature. The idea being that if your computer blue screen for what ever reason it auto restarts. It can however be turned off. Problem is that the blue screen can offer information as to why there was an error, yet the restart doesn't allow you to see it. Try booting to the XP CD and run a repair from the repair console. The command is,...

chkdsk /r

It's not a Mac thing, It's a windows thing. Perhaps a windows forum would be a better place to start.

Press F8 key before it restarts. It will then offer you options to boot XP in safe mode so as to remove a driver that may be causing the problem. In most cases Windows actually corrects this by itself when you launch it in safe mode then reboot normally.
