Record desktop and audio to video

Is there any free software to record your desktop and audio to a video file. I'd like to do it all straight to a quality for the web (YouTube type quality).

I use iShowU to record my desktop. Its not free but its a very good app.

Thanks, at $20 that looks good value.

I'm still curious as to if there is an open source version. I got RecordMyDesktop through the package manager on Ubuntu but there's no setting to record straight to non-native resolution so it's a bit choppy trying to keep up with the frame rate.
