DVD burning with Toast

Good day Everyone,

Can someone explain why Toast 7 takes forever to burn a an avi movie file to DVD?

Any ideas on how i could speed up the process??

Are you converting the format of the file? If you are that's what is taking the time.
If you are just making a back-up, or it's a file that will play in your dvd player in it's current form, click the data disc option and burn it in there as a data file. It will still play fine as that.
