Airport Advise

I have a iMac 17" 1.83Ghz, this didn't come with a built in airport.

My question is will the AIRPORT EXTREME CARD work with this iMac and how easy is it to install.

If no does any one have any alternative product, but not Dlink as I have one of these and the connect is very grainy

24" iMac 2.8 GHZ/2GB/320GB/Leopard
I have the Imac 17" 1.25 Ghz and apple just had me install the extreme and it works great!
