Why is my powerbook so slow?

Powerbook G4, ipod nano, ipod video and a whole lotta love
I just picked up a G4 powerbook, 1.5gb ram, 1.5ghz processor and it has trouble running videos through abc.com, websites etc? I also have a imac G5 1.8ghz but only 512 MB ram and runs way faster? I am a bit confused, help anyone?
