Hi all, I've started freelancing and altho the mac I'm using is new - it has a few issues!

When I open a doc in quark, it seems to crash when I go anywhere near a certain font - with the curser, the doc had been created on another machine - and has this problem when I open it up.

I also can't find this font in font book, how ever I can see it in indesign and photoshop!

Can anyone shed any light?

Try using spotlight or the search function to find the offending font, and then trash it!
It may be worth trying something like Fontnuke to remove the font cache too.

FontNuke does indeed do wonders.

You might want also to use a heftier font management application than Font Book. Download Linotype's FontExplorer X and use it check out font duplicates, conflicts, corruption and enabling and disabling fonts.
