network connection problem

My problem is that i have a secure network we use in our house and every time I wake my computer up or turn it on it goes automatically to some other neighbor network. How do I get mine to be the automatic network?

Are you hooked up wireless or wired? What model of machine/OS?

Look at two things -set to never sleep the hard drive IMO if a desktop
Check to see if you have multiple connection methods in the network area - it will default to hook up to the top/first one
