I've been doing some cleaning and organizing to maximize my disk space and in doing so I've backed up all my master files to an external hd. My reasoning for doing so is I no longer need to modify any of them and would simply like to remove all these old images from my Aperture Library and keep them offline.
The total size of my exported masters on the external hd is around 15gbs. The aperture library.aplibrary file is almost exactly double that size. Now after moving the masters to the external hd the "Aperture Library.aplibrary" is left and taking up 15gigs and change. What exactly is taking up all this space? I know previews must be a part of it but can't figure out where all the other occupied space comes into play.
