Hi,

I was at my local computer store and one of the assistants told me that running Leopard 64 bit with 2GB ram is equivalent to running Tiger 32 bit with 1GB ram. :Grimmace:

Is this true? If so, then I think I will downgrade back to Tiger 10.4.10 as I am a bit ****** about this as I recently upgraded my iMac to 2GB with Leopard installed but I don't see any difference.

Please advise

WHU?? What an ignorant dolt, or simply someone who works on commission!

After upgrading to Leopard, my ram usage went down. I think the OS is much more efficient compared to Tiger.

I am running Leopard on a Stock 1.66Ghz Intel Mini with 512Megs RAM and it runs quite well. If he is talking 64 Bit Applications then he might have a point. I would BET that nothing you are running is 64Bit.

Ditto. My overall RAM usage has gone down considerably, and overall my system seems much quicker...

The same reason a person who can't put gas in their own car works at Autozone.
