note-taking program?

is there a good note-taking program for the mac? desperately need one to organize my notes.. Word isn't cutting it for me!

Did you try using word in the notebook view? It allows you to use word in a format similar to onenote. I love using word because you can sync the recording (I record all my lectures) with your typing, that way when you are unclear on something just click play.
