Just wondering but I see a few people saying they have an iPhone 2G.
Doesn't 3G denote the network it uses? Not the generation?
So the people that are saying 2G, wouldn't that technically be iPhone Edge?

Kind of. EDGE is a 2G network if i am correct.
Edge = GSM which is 2G network. EDGE falls under gsm.
