Your Mac's Specs
imac PowerPC G5
I got an iMac G5 a year ago before they switched to intel processors. Is it possible or smart to purchase the processor and get it installed or do i have to get a new computer?

how much would something like that cost?

You need a new computer, the internal architecture is different.

new comp mate im sorry i tried it and it screwed up wasnt a big lost going to get a new one any way just thought id try it lol
