I'm building a website for my Napa Store (car parts store), and I want a similar look to the site below. The site below is one of our affiliate autocare centers. I'm already planning on buying Macromedia Fireworks, and am familiar with html and css (to an extent).

My question is are there any other programs you suggest besides flash and fireworks that would make my site similar to the site below?

it is good that you are familiar with flash and fireworks but to build a site like that I would use a Content Management System (CMS). do a google search on drupal, mambo, joomla. These are the most popular. If you need more help on the CMS PM me.

From what I can see, there is no Flash in that site and Fireworks is just really just another image editor.

There really isn't anything too technically special about that page at all. It is a simple table-based HTML design with CSS.

text is a little small on there

You will need dreamweaver to do the templates and layout

CSSedit is a good little program for creating the CSS files and previewing your styles.

Apart from that, fireworks will be fine for image editing, rollovers and slicing

have fun

Also you might want to look at Zen Garden, good examples and a html - CSS file you can use to play with
