Just thought I'd share a little trick I learned...
To get Firefox going quick... do the following.
First: Install both AdBlock Plus and FasterFox... Quit and restart Firefox after installing them both. When Firefox restarts, the AdBlock Plus Welcome window will pop-up... Choose EASYLIST (USA)... Well That's what I use.
Second: In the URL field of Firefox type about:config then press enter. Now in the Search field type (or copy/paste) network.http.pipelining... 3 entries will appear. The Value of the first entry "network.http.pipelining" should be "True"... Double click it to change it to false, then double click it to get it back to TRUE... it must be set to TRUE.
Third: In the search field type (copy/paste)network.http.proxy.pipelining Just 1 entry will appear... It should already be set to TRUE.. double click to False... Then Double click back to TRUE.
Fourth: In the search field type (copy/paste) network.http.pipelining.maxrequests just 1 entry will appear.... Double click it and set it's value between 30 and 50. I have mine set at 40... If you set it too high it could crash Firefox.
Fifth: Right Click any blank portion of the window, then select "New", then select "Integer". Name this new Integer nglayout.initialpaint.delay Set it's value to "0" (zero). This is the amount of time Firefox waits before acting on information.
Now... Quit Firefox, and restart it... All set.
