Hi guys,

Got an iPhone today delivered here to Ireland. Unlocked and put the sim in no problems at all, it's up and running and is beautiful, fantastic device.

But, the phone was meant to have the Firmware 1.1.1 but it actually has the 1.0.2....

Is there a safe way of updating this? Or would it ber very complicated? I'd like to update and use the jailbreakme program to out in the installer.

Any advice glady accepted!!

I would gently point out that ijailbreak is illegal. I'm afraid you won't get much help here with that one.

I just checked my iPhone - it has v1.1.1 of firmware as well. I just sync'd it last night, so I am guessing that this is the latest. I suspect that iTunes will auto update the firmware, assuming that the phone is legally registered...

Is it even supported in Ireland yet? Who is the selected carrier?
