Monitor brightness?!

Hi all,

probs a real stupid obvious question here, but on this mac is a monitor a bit like a formac one - plastic surrounded one, I can't figure out how to turn the brightness up!?

There is no option in the system prefs under displays like there normally is, but there is a brightness button on the front. I've tried pressing it - which illuminates but nothing happens - not even when I hold it down!

How do I make it brighter!?

If it's an old Cinema display you should be able to adjust the brightness from the Display system preferences. Or via the F14, F15 keys on your Apple keyboard (F1, F2 if it's a laptop).
