save edited as a new image in iphoto how to?

If i want to edit a image in iphoto, but also keep the original file, how do i do this?

basically whet i try to do is open the image and trhen edit it, but then i am not left with any option to save it as.....

any tips for someone who wants to keep his originals as originals too?

In iPhoto you can always revert to your original photo by going to the photos menu and choosing Revert to Original. This way you lose your editing. If you want to edit a photo and have an original you can just make a duplicate(+D )and edit that one
