I want to do something very simple; I have imported a WMA into iMovie. Now I just want to burn the video to a PAL DVD so it just plays the clip; I don't want any menus or anything. Is there any way to do this? If I open it in iDVD it seems to want me to have a menu.

Piece of cake. I do this all the time, having family in Europe.

You can change from NTSC to PAL under 'project info' in iDvd. that will do the trick.

tmj19732, DrQ doesn't want a menu, DrQ wants the video to auto play when the disc is inserted.

DrQ, Use the help menu of iDVD and enter these two words "auto play" and you'll see some informaiton about your issue. I didn't dig into it to see if it really solves your issue. I leave that as an excercise to the user.

Great, thanks! I'll take a look.

I also how do you change the movie format in iMovie once it's loaded it; it's set to widescreen but I just want it 4:3. I've searched all over the options and can't find it.

Thanks again.

Put PAL into the help on iMovie and it will tell you how to export the movie and change it to PAL in the process. Do you by any chance have Roxio Toast? After I Export I use Toast and have it make the movie Auto Play and it will convert it to DVD and burn it for you. I just made a movie that way that auto plays like that doing the above.

I believe the other settings you are after will be there also in that Menu the Help talks about.

First. Next time you mention a product, mention its version too. My answer will demonstrate why...

I could not see an option in iMovie HD to change the aspect format. If true, then you'll need to create a new project and reimport your content and redo any editing.

iMovie 08 does't care what formats you import. It will mix and match them to the format of your project. You can change the project format via "File-->Project Properties...".

See how the answers are completely different depending on version. That also caused me to open both versions to investigate it, causing twice the work on my part, or anyone else who needs to do this step.

Sorry, I'm on 6.0.3. This version does not have File > Project Properties...

Thanks for looking though.
