need some help with sharing files over itunes please!

White Macbook 2.4ghz, 2gb ram, 160gb hd,superdrive, OSX Leopard
i have managed to access the shared stuff on my itunes but then can i put it to my ipod directly from there or do i have to save it onto my hd and if so how do i do this?

You can't put music from shared libraries onto your iPod.

You can't do it. If it's both yours and on your network, just transfer it via the network to both machines.
