I think you might be able to get IE6 with DarWINE.

Or you could buy CrossOver for Mac and get IE working there.

I have VMware Fusion for my Windows apps. You can minimize them to the dock!

I've never run into a site that I couldn't use Safari or Firefox on.

ActiveX is ONLY supported by IE as far as I know, since it is another proprietary Micro$oft "standard". As a result, any ActiveX enabled web site doesn't work properly except in IE. Unfortunately, the web sites on my company's intraweb are chock-a-block full of ActiveX, which means I can only use PCs for them. Sigh...

I got one for you, I got a gift card as a christmas present once. I had to pull out the Winderz laptop every once in a while to check the amount on it. :Smirk:

I find their slogan "Not your typical bank" is very fitting.

What to do - Email the webmaster and ask him/her why they are discriminating against a significant portion of the www and whilst your at it, point out that they can not be taken seriously as a web designer until they test their site with more than one browser.

Only for the Windows version of FF since it requires IE to be installed on the machine to be functional. It does work great there though...

I think it depends on how you're getting the message.

I know there's a user-agent switcher plugin for FireFox that allows you to have Firefox say 'no, I'm IE, really! See, here's my User-Agent! It says IE!' to a website.

If it's all ActiveEcchs, though, you may in fact be screwed.

indeed that's the whole point.
There are sites (hint FORUMS), especially Asians ones that're married to ActiveX/IE

so you either stay the f* out or like I do now on Linux - fire up IE/Wine

The answer to this is simple guys, they DON'T WANT YOU LOOKING AT YOUR STATS... These companies make more money off of people using them and leaving a few spare dollars on them and tossing them into the trash than they do on the transaction charges. Of course they don't want to help you look at your balance. Just like rebate clearinghouses really don't want you to successfully process your rebate.

I had the Sprint site tell me:
We're sorry. Our program is not compatible with your browser,
please use Internet Explorer 6.0 or up or Mozilla Firefox 5.0 or up.

I was trying to use their store locator on Safari.
