program not registrying the serial number

hi people

sorry if this is in the wrong thread.

i have extensis suitcase X1, it installs on the mac, enter the serial number, and its fine. log out or restart the mac and open up suitcase X1 and it will prompt for the serial number again.
i have, uninstalled/ reinstalled it, still teh same issue
did a bit research:

Extensis SuitCase hids a serial number file in the follow location on Apple systems:

/Users/Shared/.SS110

To remove, go to the Terminal Apple and type the following:r:

rm /Users/Shared/.SC110

This resets the serial number screen.


the .SC110 folder does not exist!!!!!!!!!

i have admin rights, i have another mac exactly the same and it installs on there.

any ideas anyone???
