I'm about to buy a new internal hard drive for my Macbook, but I have one question: Will a 250gb hard drive be compatible with my MB? I had read some where that they can only hold up to 200gb.

Thanks to those who reply, and if any one want to provide some brand suggestions, that would be cool too!

250GB will work fine.

I have the Western Digital WD2500BEVS (250GB) drive.

Hard Drive Installation

I am about to replace the HD in my Macbook, but I have a few questions. After I have installed the new HD do I boot it up with the OS disc already in there or will a prompt direct me to enter the OS disc?

put the OS X disk in there, hold down the "C" key and reboot your MB. It will now boot from the disk...
