Please realize you can get .mac for cheaper ($70-$80) by buying an activation kit from such vendors as amazon.com. Yes, it works for renewal too. Search the threads here for more info on this.

Actually, if you had one before the switch it still works. Otherwise you just the Me.com address.

I have a mac.com email address, I had a .mac account. My wife wanted one, so we upgraded to a family pack... she has a me.com email address and can not have a mac.com one.
