So I installed Leopard with the simple upgrade and everything went great...my only question is why does the iCal icon in the dock look like this?

It is the one that says "Oct 29" with no background.

Mine looks fine. Have you tried dragging it out of the dock and then adding it in again?

I'm thinking different... iMac, Macbook, iPod Touch, 10.5 - Leopard
you might need to point out which one it is there buddy

I'm going to take a wild guess and say the one with the number...

Yep. The icon looks fine in the applications folder but as soon as I drag it over it loses the background.

Odd.

I'm guessing you've restarted and it still stays like that? Maybe try re-launching Finder through the Force Quit menu.

Re-launching finder worked! It just popped up normal again.

Thank you
