DVD will not mount on Macbook Pro

hey
my leopard dvd family pack will not mount on my macbook pro...i have successfully installed on my iMac but when i insert the dvd in the MBP it spits it out.
any ideas??

maybe the macbook is more sensetive

only thing i can think of is giving the disk a good clean
