Safari & Firefox crashes

24" iMac 2.8 GHZ/2GB/320GB/Leopard
I installed 10.5 on two computers and my safari and firefox crashes on both....any one having this issue? Apple says it is java related? I have a mac mini 1.83ghz...do I need to install something form my original restore discs to fix this?

I just installed Leopard on my MacBook and had no problems with Safari. I did not install FF on it yet though. Sorry for your troubles. :(

No problems, yet at least only been running it a day and a half with limited internet use, firefox only.

Been using Safari non-stop since Friday's install (Upgrade path).

No crashes to report.

Looks like a problem with the flash plugin so why you blame Java??

Apple said Java...I tried installing Adobe flash and it won't complete...tried repairing the disc and it was running 4 hours...on the phone with apple all day....I thought the java thing sounded odd...

I've had this problem on and off with some forums, particularly this one. I simply turned off the plug-ins option in Safari's prefs and it seems to have cleared up.

Hopefully there will be a fix for this shortly.

This is very similar to an issue I'm having on my G4 in Tiger and Panther. Is it just 1 website that keeps crashing or does it not seem to matter what site you go to?
