I have read about this on this board before. I believe there is an off and on switch on the keyboard.

Well, there are many ALL IN ONE Mac's, if it has a translucent back it is an iMac, I don't think the snow iMacs has a translucent back though.

Another way to tell is if the back is curved.

If you don't have a keyboard, you're going to need one in order to turn on the machine. The keyboard has a built-in power button.

And again, we have a hip hop language specialist... :D

Is it really SO difficult to write simple English?

Well, keep in mind that the Internet is available worldwide, and that English is not the native language for everybody around the world.
This means that for some people it's already difficult enough to understand English, but this stupid looking "short hand" thing becomes simply unreadable, thus not understandable.

In respect to those users, you should at least try to write normal English...

When I read I don't see the short hand version. I see sum as in adding two numbers. I see coz as cousin, because that is slang for cousin. As for ppl, I took me a while to figure that out. Normal when I see post written that way, I ignore the post and move on.

You're right, rman, but I find it really annoying having to read more and more of such posts...

And what I find most interesting is that the argument for such spelling is always "laziness". For me, it would actually be more difficult and time-consuming to shorten and "gangsta-fy" all of the words in my posts. Oh well...
