Hey guys I have the new Leopard on my Mac, its great. The only thing though is that I did a clean install and now want to put iWork and iLife 08 back onto my Mac. Will this count as another install? If not where can I check to see how many computers I have left to put it on.

I thought this was better suited in the OS part of the forum because it applies due to my OS upgrade.

When you register iWork and other apps, the computer's "identity" is recorded somewhere in the registration process.

If the apps or suites are reinstalled on the same computer, it only counts as one install and rightfully so. If someone has a deep corruption in his/her OS and needs to reformat and reinstall the OS a couple of times over the months, I wouldn't expect the user to rush out and buy over again the various apps and suites he/she needs. Your licence agreement specifies "One" computer somewhere in the legal mumbo-jumbo so you can reinstall the number of times you need on the same computer.

Same goes for the Family Pack. 5 computers, tops, but reinstalls are unlimited on those 5 computers.

iWork and iLife are not limited. You're thinking of iTunes music authorizations.

No, it belongs in the software forum because it's related to software, not the OS. I'll move it.
