Search Imac for all pdf's - how?

How can I do a search for all of the pdf's on my imac? On MS it is *.pdf - any ideas? Thanks!

Type in ".pdf" (without the quotes and no *) into spotlight. Then you can select Show All at the top of the search and it has a section titled PDF Documents that will show all of them.

You can also use iTunes as a place to store your PDFs. Just drag the PDF folder or a group of PDFs to the Library column You will be prompted to name the grouping and the PDF collection now appears as a *playlist*. Just click on a PDF in this *playlist* to launch it.

Or better yet... Get a copy of yep -- it's like iPhoto for your PDFs. If you've lots of them, it makes it suuuuper easy to find what you're looking for.

If you upgrade to Leopard, spotlight can find all your PDFs by searching for "kinddf" If you are interested, below are some of the other search terms available in Leopard (list taken from Leopard's help). They work great in conjunction with boolean operators.

I agree, Yep is the program for anything to do with PDFs.
