So I have a 2.2GHz MacBook Pro with 2GBs of RAM. I updated to Leopard and I just wanted to know if my computer is fast enough to run Battlefield 2142 smoothly at decent settings.

Do games in general run better using bootcamp or should I just buying the Mac version?

ok heres the deal. i have the MBP 2.2, w/ 2gigs... you got to turn the lighting low, like turn off shadows and advance lighting or w/e

u can turn the graphics and res up..

but, for Alot of people the game barely works. and it glitches up alot. but some people say it works just fine for them...

for me, it works everynow and then.. my dvd-drive usually cant read the disk, and i have put it in 8 times or so..
and when it can read the disk i just leave it in, untill it quits reading the disk.. idk its hard to explain. but i suggest just getting windows on ur computer via parallels or bootcamp and getting the PC games...

Thanks for the quick reply husky. So would you suggest that I just put Windows on my computer and buy games for Windows? Why are the PC versions better?

hi all.
Im new here and signed up for the forum because of exactly this threat ;-) .

I have (stupid as i am) bought the mac version of the game. I have then found it runs kinda badly.

Now i'm thinking of buying the game AGAIN but in windows version.

But before i do i would like to be 100% sure that i don't get cheated again.

i have a mac book pro core 2 duo 2.5 ghz. 2 gb ram. geForce 8600m GT.

what kinda enhancement can i expect from a shift to windows?! big or small effect?! anyone knows?
