Well this is slightly odd and i never did realise this was happening until recently. I had scanned an image and it turned out that i scanned it upside down. Thus while browsing it in Preview i used the rotate option. After doing so i tried saving the image and also tried the Save As option. Yet for some reason the image continues to remain upside down.
Any clue why that seems to be happening?

Preview probably only rotates it for you to see, it probably doesn't change the actual image. Use a picture editor instead of viewer and make the change the save the image again.

well yea thats eventually what i did do... but it's odd cause before closing the image it asks you if you want to save the changes and doesn't do that.
thanks anyways

Just did a check for you in my preview. It worked for me (in Leopard).
