Is Leopard Faster, Same or Slower on G5?

OK all you early adopters, how does Leopard perform on a PowerMac G5? Is it faster, about the same, or slower? In this case, the speed being referred to is the obvious stuff: does it boot faster, does it launch apps faster, does it feel more responsive, etc.

I'll take this a step further and ask what is the slowest Mac that Leopard has been installed on in this group? Any G4 users out there taking a chance that Leopard will run? Anyone with non-supported upgraded systems that have attempted to install?

I did an A&I on my Quad and it feels snappier. This, however, is almost always the case when one does an A&I. It is after-all a clean system install of the base OS.

As for slowest, I installed it on my 1Ghz G4 iBook last night and it works fine. The iBook doesn't have the transparent menu bar, but otherwise everything else seemed to be there.

Installed it on my tower (look left) as an experiment. Clean install. So far so good. No big testing, just playing.

How does it feel Speed Wise on that 867 MDD?

Speed seemed fine. It isn't like I've done much testing with it though. I'm planning to sell the machine. I've said else where that it feels snappy. If I do any serious testing I'll consider posting again.

The Giga Designs 1.8Ghz G4 and other Giga Design's CPU's do not work. OWC says that all the CPU upgrades they sell work fine with Leopard. Figures on the Giga Design. Had nothing but issues with it.
