apple support..

hey this may be a really stupid question but im about my first mac (a macbook pro 2.4ghz 15") and im wonderin if i have any problems can i bring it into any apple reseller and they can help or is it a thing of only the store that sold me it can only deal with me... i ask coz the store im buying from seem like they know nothing and they will send me to somewhere else ie. the nearest apple store bout 50 miles away or worse they will send it away...ahhhhhhh

any thoughts welcome...

Weird, I called Apple and they assured me they would have on-site help even though I live about an hour (on a good day in SoCal) from the nearest Apple Store. Hmmmm....
