Fetch Widget

I use Fetch as my FTP software. Along with the software comes a widget. When I open my widgets the little dog bone (thats what the widget looks like) says "drag files here to upload."

My question is this: If I have to bring up my dashboard to get to the widget how do I drag files to it???

click and hold on the item you want to ftp, activate dashboard, drag it to the widget and let go.
