if you select a picture in finder, you can right click it and display a slideshow directly.
i would like to have a workflow that does the same. i imagine it like this:
1. action: get specified finder items (folder..)
2. action: display a slideshow of those items.
with the default actions in automator you can easily create a workflow that opens the pictures in preview. but that is not exactly what i want. the slideshow should be started by the automator workflow. i'm also aware of the fact that you can easily play iphoto slideshows with a workflow. for different reasons i do not want to use iphoto for this. let's keep it simple and fast.
maybe there is such an action out there already or something similar.
