I just set up Gmail IMAP using mail.app using the instructions on the gmail help page.
However when I got go Mail Preferences, Accounts and then click on advanced for gmail imap under ' Keep copies of messages for offline viewing' it has the 'all messages and attachments option selected'.
I don't want it to store my messages on my mac, so I selected 'Don't keep copies of my messages.'
I then quite mail.app but I found that my mail was still on my mac (I know this because when i go to my library folder and then mail it has a folder which is named my account name.)
Why is this? should it not delete the folder with all my emails in it because i selected not to store my emails on my mac.
